This award was first introduced for the 2006 race where it was won by Chichester Vets very narrowly from the Stubbington Green A team. The Cooper Cup will again be presented to the fastest team on an age- and gender-adjusted basis. Actual leg times are corrected using the factors published by the World Masters Association WMA age-grading calculator which allows creation of a level playing field between all teams - mens, ladies, veteran and all combinations. The Cooper Cup, was donated by Ian Cooper of Haywards Heath Harriers who was a long-time organiser of the event. All Teams are eligible to compete for this award, relevant information is collected on the day on the starter's decalaration forms.
